Snapshots of the Kingdom

This week we are going to look at Mark 4:21-34. A lamp on a stand, a growing seed, a mustard seed.  Simply mull over these and think about their meaning, from two angles:

  • What does the parable say about the way God works, about us and/or our response to God?
  • What does the parable say about the story of God’s people (Israel… through Jesus to the church)?

Should these parables be interpreted mostly as individual challenge, or mostly as good news about God’s workings?
